Up to £6000 hiring grant for logistics admin assistants
Every successful logistics firm relies on strong administration. The new funded Logistics Administration Assistant apprenticeship helps employers develop reliable administrative resources.
And there's up to £6000 available for eligible employers for each new hire they enrol onto this apprenticeship which is strictly for 16 to 24 year olds.
Dedicated administrative support
As they progress through their professional training supported by RHA Skills partner, TRS, your apprentice will progressively take on responsibility for:
- Updating collection, delivery and customer information
- Processing delivery notes, proof-of-delivery documents and job paperwork
- Responding to routine customer enquiries
- Maintaining driver, vehicle and customer records
- Collating information for invoices and reports
- Chasing missing information and escalating discrepancies
The Level 2 Administration Assistant apprenticeship develops skills in communication, digital systems, data handling, document production, organisation, accuracy and teamwork.
Understanding the logistics industry
The included RHA Skills Introduction to Logistics course helps the apprentice understand the industry their administration supports.
They learn how goods move through the supply chain and explore road transport, warehousing, distribution, ports and freight forwarding. They also discover how planning, drivers, fleet, maintenance, customer service and administration work together.
The course introduces safety, compliance, professional standards, data protection, environmental responsibilities and the RHA Wellbeing Charter.
Funding and support
Eligible employers may receive fully funded training, employer National Insurance relief and hiring incentives worth up to £6,000 in qualifying circumstances.
